Should have appointed Nigel PEARSON instead of Remi MERDE in the first place

Just looked to see when O'Neil went, August 2010. So whoever takes over will be their sixth manager in under four years..

Classic right man, wrong time. Better points per game than Tim 'Barbour' Sherwood as well.

I think Pearson has to be the man, surely?!?! They deserve that bullying cockgobbler

Re: Remi Garde leaves villa
Skills that will be handy at Villa .....

Beneath the gruff, often taciturn exterior Pearson proves rather less easy to stereotype. Where managerial peers holiday in Dubai, Barbados or southern Spain, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough centre-half prefers to go walking in Eastern Europe. If you see him at an airport he is more likely to be en route to Bucharest than Puerto Banรบs.

Romania's Carpathian mountains are a particular favourite despite Pearson having been lucky to survive on one break when, climbing alone, he was set upon by a pack of five wild dogs.

Saved by a combination of his walking pole, which he poked into their eyes, and a nearby bed of nettles, which he steered the dogs into, Leicester's manager lived to fight another day.

Re: Remi Garde leaves villa
Lets be honest it is not about having a manager is it, the life has been sucked out of the whole club.
A succession of bad buys and the fact that Aston Villa have been going nowhere quickly for some time now is the problem.

Re: Remi Garde leaves villa
Been struggling every season for a good few years, this time there is no survival, bit like Wigan and Bolton who finally succumbed, unlike those 2 clubs though, Villa are big enough though to be able to bounce back in the next season or 2 imo.

Poor cunt was like a lamb to the slaughter, although he took the' dead in the water job,it was a gamble that didn't pay off for club or manager.

Hope they go down for a while.

Or something like that.it's been a long night ,and it's still daylight.

Their fans behind the goal in the corner we get are a right bunch of cocky mugs. How I wish we had them on the final day!
